INDECISION HAS ITS GOOD POINTS

August 3rd, 2009

To arrive at a point, to be in a constant state of being in which there is no choice to make, then there is not even a decision between choosing and not choosing to do or not do a thing.  You become something beyond mere choice itself.

When you get to the point where there is no decision to make, then you have become one with the very flow of life itself.  You are no longer the separate thing choosing to do the action, you become action-incarnated and are no longer a thing engaging in an action because of a recently made choice—the action has become you and you have become the action.  Even if that action resembles that of doing no apparent outer work, for inner action is also action and no one outside of you has the right to tell you what action to take, much less force you to do some outer action not within the flow, just to please their foolish and limited perceptions.

When we are faced with a decision to make, I think that we have already screwed up just a bit.  It seems that when we arrive at a cusp, stop ourselves while we are doing something and mull over a decision for a great length of time, then we have already stepped out of the flow.

Indecision has two faces.  The first case of indecision occurs as just described.  The second face of indecision is nothing to fear, for it is that state of being just explained in which you are flowing in life so easily that there is no need to stop and make decisions because you are too busy flowing with and doing whatever actions you feel you must at any given point in time in any situation.  To live such as this is a blessing and the way of those who possess peace of mind.  Such people have an intuitive sense that guides them into a right decision at any moment.  When one does not have to stop and debate decisions (as most people do) then the mind is at peace.  Divinity is what guides such souls.  All should strive to arrive at this state of being.

THUNDERSTORMS, LIGHTING & YOGA

August 3rd, 2009

The elemental makeup of a thunderstorm is just like the elemental makeup of a human being.  The elements are in the same positions and behave the same way.

Earth is at the bottom, water situated above it, air being found next, with fire at the very top.  Fire is represented by lightning strikes that come from high above.  These large discharges of fiery energy shoot thru the atmosphere all the way down to the earth.  But for this to happen, there must be a medium for the fiery blast to pass thru, as well as a sufficient charge in the atmosphere to allow the strike to happen in the first place.  That medium is the element of air.  Once the strikes happen, a significant rain shower usually ensues as these two events are generally linked within a normal thunderstorm.

I find it interesting in that the cause of a lightning strike begins at ground level.  When the atmospheric conditions are right, a charge is sent up from the ground into the atmosphere, essentially providing a channel.  Then comes a lightning strike from high in the atmosphere coursing down to the ground from where the charge was originally sent up.

This process is mirrored exactly in an esoteric form of yoga known as Kriya Yoga, in which a charge is sent up from the earthy chakra at the bottom of the spine to the top of the head (symbolically towards God) where it attracts the attention of Divine energy which can then course down back to the earthy energy center.  Call it a meditative form of lightning within the human body if you will, but the process in no way dissimilar from what happens in a normal thunderstorm.

And when a thunderstorm has passed, all of nature is refreshed.  The parched Earth has received life giving water to quench nature’s thirst.  Life then abounds once more.  The lightning strikes provide a life affirming and healthy form of ozone that is easily smelled right after the strike.  Moreover, the water that falls from the sky is not ordinary water.  It is an extremely healthy form of water that contains an energetic charge of Divine energy within it because it was formed from natural processes as ordained in the laws of nature.  It is among the healthiest forms of water that is formed in nature, perhaps second only to morning dew, which is itself loaded with a healthy charge that modern science cannot detect as of yet (much less isolate) with their most advanced instruments.  Philosophers and alchemists have always known what makes this form of water so special.  To attempt to explain further would require of the reader a deep knowledge of esoteric subjects.

Likewise, when a yogi performs certain Yoga meditations that emulate the processes of a thunderstorm, he receives the same benefits as all of nature when the storm has passed.  In fact, every single benefit that nature receives from the actions of the storm, both obvious and hidden, is self generated by the yogi through his mediation.

In the places on earth where it rains at least a little every day, nature is blessed and life thrives!

Likewise, when a yogi performs his meditations each day even for a little while, his whole life is blessed as well.

Be like nature.  Imitate nature.  Thrive like nature.  Then you will also manifest health and life in abundance.

BIRDS DO IT, BEES DO IT, LET’S DO IT

August 3rd, 2009

Jazz musicians do it.  Improvisational comedians do it.  Mystical writers do it.  Stage actors do it.  Soldiers do it.  Actually, the fact is everyone does it, but only people such as those just mentioned do it to any great extent.

What do they all do?  ……They go with the flow.

Yogis, masters, spiritual adepts of all kinds do it as well—but their aim is to live their entire lives going with the flow towards their own spiritual perfection.  The biggest difference here is awareness.  These spiritual people are aware of the fact that they are going with the flow constantly.  As a result they are at peace with themselves.  They know that what they do is in line corresponds with the actions that God wants them to perform.  They are aware that God is the Doer.  One might say that when they are not actively doing God’s Will, they are busy observing life and all that goes on in it.

But as said before, everyone goes with the flow, all do it.  Or more accurately, I will say that everyone is capable of doing it, and that their souls are most certainly willing, even desperately wanting to do it.  But the majority of people are not even aware of this subtle inner need, this divine desire, and therefore their lives are generally anything but joyous.  As mentioned before, everyone is at least capable.

OVERPOPULATION & THE ALLEGED RIGHT TO PROCREATE, or ALL PREGNANCY IS INFECTION

August 3rd, 2009

The lure of the material plane (for the majority of people) is most strongly felt in the area of sex.

Symbolically speaking, the woman represents the earth, the physical plane.  The only way for a man to truly enjoy a woman is to never give in to any desire to impregnate her, unless the addition of another baby is to the benefit of the world and not to its detriment.  The last thing any human being should do is to put undo strain upon the earth by infesting her with more people than she can handle at any given time.  Overpopulation is not only senseless, but also a sin (to use an overused religious term) committed against our small planetary home, and against all that live and breathe upon her.

As upsetting as it may sound to sensitive ears, there is something that must be stated here and now.  Medically speaking, impregnating a woman is akin to giving her an infection, one that grows in size until it bursts out of her body.  But unlike a ‘normal’ out-of-control infection that can be lanced and drained, thereby ending the problem, a pregnancy doesn’t end there (unless the mother abandons the baby in the garbage).  The ‘infection’ must be cared for (if one has any sense of responsibility and duty for their senseless actions).  And the rearing of this child-infection is a long process, the better part of two decades by most standards.

In most cultures, women have been taught (read—programmed) from an early age that she will one day be a mother, that it is expected of her, and in the most controlling of cultures, that there is no other alternative for her in life.  How sad.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Nature itself proves our assumptions and expectations wrong, as it never fails to do when we are so arrogant and narrow-minded.  Not everyone on earth becomes a parent.  Not everyone needs to become a parent.  And in a world such as our own, vastly overpopulated with brain-dead, uneducated and unthinking fools, most definitely not everyone should be a parent.  Idiots should not raise children, much less create them.  Such a manner of conduct only causes pain and suffering for both child and parent.  And to perpetuate such needless misery unto just one more child seems to me to be the height of stupidity and an abomination committed to an otherwise unsuspecting newborn.  The sin of all people is that we are making a nightmare of our planet, of our experience of life…and it need not be so.  As the late comedian/satirist/philosopher Bill Hicks once stated at a live concert, “How about having a neat world for kids to come to?”

The senseless desire to procreate must be controlled under the strongest willpower, and never, ever must one relent unless the situation demands that another life be created for the purpose of maintaining our collected wisdom and knowledge, or in the case of a possible extinction, for the preservation of the species (not exactly a problem in our current world).  If the human race is to survive and maintain a barest minimum of decent living for all humans, then population growth must be stopped immediately.  Men and women must cease senselessly giving in to the lure of the physical plane in the process of sexual enjoyment.  There is just no point!  In other words, it’s fine to fuck, but if we fail to stop our senseless population explosion, then the whole species is fucked.

“But I want a family!  I have a right to have a family!” shouts the uneducated, unthinking, socially and politically programmed young wannabe mother.  To which the wise respond, “But there are only so much resources to go around; the earth can only sustain so many in comfort and decency, beyond which a living hell awaits for all.  Therefore what you selfishly and senselessly want for yourself is going to deprive those people already living off of our current limited resources.  Furthermore your externally programmed, thoughtless, egotistical desire to produce offspring will create a hell for the baby when it arrives, as there will be far less resources for it to use as it grows up.”

A woman’s desire to have a family is only natural.  But that does not mean that they must blindly give in to it.  Doing so throws nature out of balance, which benefits no one.  If women will not control themselves, then it is up to men to practice population control.  Advice to men?  Do anything to prevent the pregnancy of the woman (or women) with whom you have intercourse.  Otherwise you are just as much to blame for the problem of overpopulation as are the women.  Use any form of birth control necessary.  Or practice celibacy.  Here’s another option.  There exist certain Tantra techniques that allow men to completely control when (or even if) they want to ejaculate, even allowing them to ejaculate ‘blanks’ (devitalized semen which are incapable of causing impregnation).  I think that if most men learned that such a thing was possible, they would use these techniques with gusto, for it allows the man (and the woman too) to enjoy sex for much longer periods of time and more frequently (which seems to be what most people want anyway), and all without ever cursing the earth with yet another mouth it cannot currently feed, much less cursing the child itself with a hungry life.

ORGASM, MEDITATION AND DEATH

August 2nd, 2009

Sexual orgasm (what most people experience) and meditative orgasms (what yogis experience in Samadhi trances are seemingly experienced at different ends of the breathing cycle.  Sexual orgasms reach their temporary peak when a person is at full inhalation, while meditative orgasms are experienced continually at the end of the exhalation.

A yogi is able to stay at an even state between inhaling and exhaling.  The breathing usually stops completely at the end of the exhalation and the yogi generally remains there, enveloped in a blissful state.  There isn’t a lot of energy that needs to be expended in attaining such a state.  It is a passive kind of control over the body.

The problem with sexual orgasms (if there must be one) is that the person always ends up going back down to a very blissful state not too unlike that of the yogis—but not exactly the same.

In the practice of Tantra, sex is spiritualized in a manner as only a yogi can accomplish.  The participants perform certain practices so that they do not lose control of their bodies and succumb to an ordinary sexual orgasm.  In doing this, they actually prolong the sexual encounter and almost effortlessly extend the near-orgasmic state of being that is otherwise attained at the fullest level of inhalation during a regular sexual orgasm.

The experiences of either Samadhi or the best orgasms both have to ability to destroy the Ego, or that which gives us a reference point to be able to operate in the universe.  Without it you have no reference, nothing to cling to in order to be able to interpret what is happening before you.  In that state, one has a choice to make—be unafraid or be totally afraid.  You have the choice to experience it as joy or fear.  See it as joyful fun or else be full of fear.  That deathless-death state is the end of the journey.  The ride is over.  The carnival is closed.

I think people fear death because they are afraid of ending the show, the entertainment.  I think part of the secret of conquering death (as it were) is not being afraid of the ending of the show.  Maybe people who wait until the time of their body’s eventual destruction are the most afraid.  Or maybe they are the most childlike?  Maybe they think life is fun and meant to never end.  But everything comes to an end.  Maybe they just want to see the entire show…or maybe they are so un-evolved that they need to see the whole show.

It appears that we become yogis when we really have no more desire to see the show anymore.  Said another way, perhaps when we are content with the show going on without us, then we feel okay if it ends.  If so, so be it.  We know it is all the same, all equivalent and we have no desire to interfere, no need to change the entertaining show that is arising from the ongoing execution of the behind-the-scenes-computer-like-program that is operating perfectly.  When we have surfed enough channels (had enough lives and their assorted experiences) then we eventually decide to turn the boob-tube off (be wise enough not to reincarnate, which would be equivalent to turning it on again).

Doing this gives us the peace we so long to experience.

LOVERS…ONE OR MANY?

August 2nd, 2009

I see a discrepancy between the things we collect and the people we love.

Some people (like myself) collect books.  Some amass a few dozen, others a few hundred, still others a few thousand.  Sometimes they are collected specifically because they are very old.  Sometimes because they are rare.  Or perhaps the collector focuses exclusively on first editions.  Or maybe the collection is of a particular genre, such as horror or murder mysteries.  Or maybe the collection is small as it focuses on just one author’s work.  Book collections are as varied as the collectors themselves.

But above all else, no matter what the defining characteristic of the collection, one overriding truth remains—it is impossible to read more than any one book at a time.  So why have so many?

Look at car collectors.  More expensive than book collecting (unless you deal with extremely ancient and/or rare books), but the collections still echo each other by their related traits.  The cars may be of a specific type (four wheel drive, three wheeled cars, steam powered), from a specific manufacturer, perhaps even from a company that no longer exists (such as the rare Tucker cars), or classic road cars (like the Mustang), or muscle cars, etc.  The list goes on and again is as varied as the person who collects them.  But once again, above all else, no matter what is the common element of the collection, one overriding truth remains—it is impossible to drive more than any one car at a time.  So why have so many?

I think the answer is obvious to most people.  It is rare that a collection of just one thing is truly satisfying.  It seems impossible that just one particular thing will ever truly fulfill the collector.  Variety, it seems, truly is the spice of life, and this applies to collecting as well.  Few would ever argue with such an accepted truth.

…So why is it that that most people react so violently when confronted with the idea of having even a small collection of lovers, or wives, or husbands (as the case applies to each individual)?

Most people agree that a ‘collection’ consisting of just one book is weird in the extreme.  And in the case of bible-thumpers, blinding obsession and a soul-strangling restriction are the usual result of such a ‘collection’.  Can you truly name one, just one book that would satisfy you if you were stranded on a deserted island?  I cannot.  I can think of nothing more boring and depressing on every level of my being than such a senseless restriction.

And when we use just one car until it is literally falling apart at the seams, people usually tease and prod us “to put the old clunker out of its misery” and buy another one.

So why do we humans completely fail to apply the same logic to relationships?  Why restrict love?

Sometimes in an eon or two, a planet may radically change orbit and leave its current solar system to wander the galaxy until it finds a new star to orbit.  It happens constantly all around the universe.

On a smaller scale, electrons sometimes leave their orbit around the nucleus of one atom, fly off and bond to another atom.  It happens constantly all around us, only the actions are too small for our 5 senses to detect.

In relationships, single people behave similarly—breaking a bond with one person to find another person to latch on to.  We find nothing strange about this behavior of single people as it happens constantly all around us.

So then why is it that so many feel uneasy when it comes to multiple simultaneous relationships, which are also called ‘plural relationships’ or ‘polyamory’?

Our solar system has nine known planets (depending on what astronomer you talk to).  Think about it—many planets orbiting around one star.  And yet we do not find this strange or repulsive.  In all my life of following scientific advancements, I have never heard of an astronomer who got upset upon learning that earth is not the only planet orbiting our sun.  No one has started any political groups to protest such, and I suspect (hope) that no one ever will.

Out of the 100+ known elements, only Hydrogen has just one electron orbiting its nucleus.  Every other element on the periodic chart possesses more than one electron orbiting its nucleus.  Some have literally dozens of electrons.  And yet we do not find this strange or repulsive.  And again, no protests here either.

So why do so many people (at least in this country) find it strange and repulsive to discover that some people in the world have many lovers, or many wives, or many husbands?

The answers to our questions are easily found in the naked expression of Mother Nature Herself…if we only take the time out of our fast-paced-and-quickly-going-nowhere-lives to just look.

If you are comfortable with just one of anything, be it a book, a car, a god or goddess, or a lover or spouse, then so be it—such expressions also exist in nature.  But this natural behavior is absolutely not any more natural or normal than any other manifestation Nature deems fit to express.

All is equivalent.  All have the God-given right to live as they choose.  One person’s allegedly sensible and normal conduct is another’s raging psychosis.

There is no such thing as ‘normal’.  All is equivalent in the Eyes of Eternity.  Do as you will.

THE THEORY OF EQUIVALENCE

August 2nd, 2009

If all is ONE, then there is no other.  Therefore ALL is ONE and ALL that occurs in life is ONE, and since any ‘one’ is not greater or less than any other ‘one’, then ALL is EQUIVALENT since ALL is ONE and there is no other than the ONE which is ALL, and is correctly experienced as EQUIVALENT to anything else, for it is all the same One thing.

With a perspective like this, it is easy to become enlightened.  Being enlightened means being One with the Universal Spirit.  If you have the perspective of One-ness, then you are enlightened.

When asked what God is, the great Indian yogi Lahiri Mahasaya used to say “Neti.  Neti” meaning “Not this, not that.”  Think about it.  What would happen if you were to answer the question any other way?  As soon as you would identify God as being this or that particular thing, then by even saying so you automatically imply that it is not every other thing in the whole universe that lies outside of the particular thing’s apparent outermost physical boundaries.  To think that any particular thing is God causes us to push aside everything else out of our narrow focus.  Even the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu wrote that one cannot say what the Tao is by pointing at any particular individual thing.

When you focus on your attention on something to the exclusion of all else, you altar that thing, change it, limit it and so on, quite literally changing it just by observing it, instead of focusing on everything at once which would allow that thing to simply be.  Quantum science shows this in repeated experiments.

Sometimes it seems to me that we are constant gardeners of a garden that doesn’t need our attention or assistance of any kind.  The world is a wild garden.  It doesn’t need us here to begin with.  And it certainly doesn’t need us to change stuff around since it apparently can do that whether or not we are aware of it going on in front of our faces or beneath our very feet.  I can only assume that one reason we human beings are here is because it is a joyous thing to just be Doing anything at all here in the physical plane.  No matter what that source of joy is for any particular individual, it is All One and is Equivalent to All Else since All is One.  So it matters not what anyone’s neighbors do in the course of pursuing their own happiness, doing whatever thrills them.  Let all be as they are.  When one can do this, then one is protected from the machinations of those who would prey upon you as they would do to any one of the spiritually ignorant population.  This kind of realized perspective allows one to lead a life of unimaginable peace.

Give all who reside here in physical bodies the space to be themselves, with as little interference from you as possible.  Living that way is one of the ultimate expressions of the consciousness explained herein.  This level of awareness goes a long way in explaining how some saints who have realized this state of being are able to walk without leaving footprints, cast no shadows, mysteriously subdue even the most ferocious man-eating predatory animals on earth, neutralize someone physically assaulting them in a tiny fraction of a second, and so on.

Only offer your attention and assistance when there is a genuine need or if personally asked for it.  Focusing attention or help where it is unnecessary or unwanted will only result in some kind of hell.  Hence the reason masters don’t advertise for students.  A proper student is one that can recognize the teacher (or the teachings) by Intuition.  Then the student merely has to be receptive to the teacher and/or teachings.  But don’t make the mistake of identifying the teacher as God, for this violates Equivalency.  All is One.

But not all manifested beings are aware of this.  Just manifesting here in physical bodies means a danger of losing one’s Divine awareness of the One, since being able to perceive the body poses a danger of identifying or being identified with one particular thing, instead of All Things.  Most people on earth have lost this high level of awareness.  Remembering that All is Equivalent returns the student to the awareness of All is One—Equivalency.

LOVE TRANSCENDS NOTHING

August 2nd, 2009

It has been said that Love transcends all barriers and limitations.  Not true.  Love doesn’t transcend anything at all because there never was anything to transcend in the first place.  Once again our distorted perspective has turned us into idiots.

The truth is that love doesn’t transcend any barriers because they never really existed.  When we descended into this 3d plane we forgot our origin, our Source, where we came from, where all was correctly perceived as One.  Having forgotten our home, we then believed that the so-called reality we were experiencing was real.  We then went on believing that this reality was limiting us too.  All the while, we simply forgot that we created this alleged prison in the first place.

Remembering Love, and that we are Love, is the primary (some might say only) way for us to lift ourselves out of our eternal dilemma.  Realizing that we never really left our Source, we remember that we are still One with it, and this leaves us free to be ourselves with no external coercion or restrictions that arise from false perceptions (of which there are an endless variety).

Love is beyond the foolish barriers we place on ourselves due to our misperceptions.  When we see clearly, we see what we are in truth.

Self realization seems nothing more than a perceptual shift in the right direction.

LAUGH! LIFE IS A MOVIE

August 2nd, 2009

SOME ADVICE.

Empty yourself of yourself while you are alive, and your purpose will manifest in what you do and how you conduct your life.  Life will flow more easily, be more serene and joyous, and become a thing of poetic and magical beauty.  Take nothing too seriously, if at all.  All is chimera.  Nobody is here.  No Body is here.  There is no body here.  It is a ruse too.  All the fearful machinations of the world superpowers are a ruse too.  All the bugaboos they throw at everyone on a daily basis should be laughed at, since it is just a show.  If you do not ‘pay attention’ to it now, you won’t ‘pay a tension’ for it later.

Let go of what is outside of your control.  Laugh at it, even!  It is just a movie being presented by other people.  It is their ideas that are manifesting, not yours.  That is all it is.  Remember that.  There is no logical reason to think that anything that anyone throws in your face need necessarily affect you.  If you are busy doing God’s Will through yourself, even the worst of apparent situations will not affect you, for you have the Supreme Will manifesting through you, which is capable of neutralizing any outside force that attempts to come in uninvited.  One immediately applicable technique to do this is to laugh, be in Joy, be calm, know that you are with God, that God is with you, and nothing can harm the real you, the spirit you, the part of you that is One with the Universal Spirit.  This method has the effect of basically refusing all that is belched out of the bowels of fear, paying no attention (at tension) to it, thereby prohibiting it a chance to manifest any further.

There is nothing to fear, for all is chimera, a dream.  Don’t let anything going on out there every get you down.  Let yourself be uplifted by what you feel represents you and your relationship to Spirit.  Adopt a universal attitude and an unremitting gratitude by exuding joy at all times.  And then as humbly and as quietly as possible, do your work for the benefit of mankind, by whatever means to which you have a natural and flowing attraction…thereby creating a pleasant and fulfilling life, which is nothing but a bunch of memories that were created by the choices we made in this experiment called life.

Be happy with the choices you have made and are making so you can do the selfless work God wills us all to do eventually.

IN DEFENSE OF INTOXICATION, INEBRIATION AND GETTING HIGH

August 2nd, 2009

AN APPEAL TO SOBER PEOPLE.

Let the artists of all the world intoxicate themselves as they wish.  They voluntarily approach death through intoxication because of their love for humanity, for they wish to approach Eternity as closely as possible in order to bring back with them some gift of the Divine which they then seek to express thru their art.

All of you sober teetotalers of the world have absolutely NO RIGHT to stop anyone from engaging in voluntarily inebriation if they choose to do so.

Name one, just one sober person in history, who has ever brought anything liberating and uplifting to the world.  It can’t be done.  Every extraordinary person who has brought something noble to the world has engaged in some form of intoxication, be it drugs, drinks or even spiritual rituals that alter consciousness in some way.  All are forms of intoxication and inebriation.

Consciousness must be altered in some way to approach the Divine realms.  Whether this alteration takes place through external means (chemicals, rituals, shamanic practices) or internal techniques (meditation, visualization, hypnosis) is of no consequence.  For the body is the altar where we alter ourselves, to commune with Spirit.

No one has any right to stop, prevent or otherwise openly and forcefully restrict anyone from engaging in some kind of consciousness altering of their own choosing, as it pertains to their own personal experience of Divine communication, artistic inspiration, or even just to enjoy the company of friends.  As long as the intent is noble, then no one entity be it a single person or a government, nor any group of entities, has ever had, currently has, or ever will have the right to stop any other one entity or group of entities from engaging in whatever mode of consciousness alteration if they so freely choose to do so, as long as the reasons for such engagement are not in any way intentionally harmful to or otherwise directed at someone/something else.

Such a mode of conduct is a firm foundation upon which all great societies can rely with eternal confidence.

If sober people choose to remain so, then let them be.  For they have no right to restrict others possessing noble intent from being non-sober if they so choose.

If people wish to intoxicate themselves, then let them be.  For they have no right to coerce or otherwise force anyone who choosing to remain sober to abandon their sobriety and engage in any form of intoxication.
