LOVE IN ACTION

Friday, August 7th, 2009

What we do, we do to feel love.  Love is the combination of the Polar forces.  When we feel a desire for action, we are spurned to do a thing.  Therein lies the combination of forces.  Desire arises out of a perceived need to do or experience something.  We receive that idea.  If we accept it, then the very action of reception requires us to take action and project work out of ourselves to satisfy or otherwise satiate the desire in question.  That action (whether born of either a selfish or selfless desire) is Love.

When we can learn to control that receptive side of us, then no desire can ever get a hold of us because we are using free will to control what our receptive side, that part of us which would otherwise cause us to take action in response to every single thing that attracts or otherwise assaults our consciousness on a daily basis.  Then we have learned that true art of self control.

Yogis, shamans, magicians, adepts, etc., are masters at this kind of control.  When they decide to take action about something, rest assured that they have a reason for it that goes far beyond that of most people.  Some might look upon them and call them misers, accusing them of never doing much of anything that normal people do.  And that is not such a far off definition.  If one remembers that spiritualists have forsaken the trappings of the ‘normal’ lives of the masses, then it makes perfect sense that such spiritual people would not engage in any activity that is otherwise wasteful to their perceptions.  And the daily activities of the masses are considered wasteful in their eyes, hence their disengagement (to varying degrees) from normal society.

And the work of a spiritual person is always one of Love.  Again, what we do, we do out of love, to feel love.  The difference here is the yogi, shaman, etc., feels love when they serve people.  They rarely engage in activities for selfish reasons, and even if they do something that brings them some material gain, you can rest assured that it is for a greater purpose than that which is usually conceived of the populace.

If any would wish to be like the masters, then let your work (whatever that may be) be driven by a love that encompasses others.  Let the ideas that spurn you into action be fueled by a desire to experience love for others.  Let your life which is love in action be a series of experiences, or moments that are geared towards the eventual goal of helping others.

That kind of love in action makes a life worth living.  That kind of work makes life bearable.

NATURE IS FREE, or TAXES ARE WRONG

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Man has the right to freely use what nature has freely given him to use, and no one has the right to take away that right nor force anyone to pay for the things that are freely given by nature.  Should anyone attempt to charge his fellows a price on what nature has freely given to all, then that person(s) has voluntarily forfeited his right to life and should be prepared to meet resistance to his ignoble endeavors, perhaps even to the point of losing his life.  In a real world example, this means that if this selfish person loses his life during an attempt to charge his fellows for using what nature has freely given to those fellows, then so be it—whosoever denies the rights of his fellows loses his own rights in the process.  Nature, Divine Providence has made it as simple as that.  And any and every free man has the right to utterly stop or even completely destroy the life of anyone trying to exact a price for something that is already freely available.  This is not an example of murder, but an example of Free Will in action.  It is a weeding out process that is occurring here.  Let all selfish people be warned.  Nature is not to be taxed or exploited for selfish benefit.  Your fellow human beings are not faceless, nameless resources from which you can extract wealth to which you otherwise have no right.

REALITY ISN’T REAL, 100th MONKEY AND MESSIAH MONKEY

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Perception is the beginning of illusion.  There is nothing out there to perceive.  There are no people, no events, no objects, no planet, no sun, moon or stars, nothing—no thing at all.  It is a dream at best and a nightmare at worst.  When we perceive it as a dream, we know it is illusion and therefore ephemeral.  When we perceive it as nightmare, we are fooled into thinking it is reality and we then make a further mistake in letting it affect us in some way (as though against one’s will), reinforcing a false notion that even we ourselves exist, are real and are therefore separate from what truly is.  This creates the comedy/drama we call life.  Those who are not fooled into thinking along such ways (even into thinking, period) are masters of the illusion.

All the problems we experience stem from a belief that what is happening is really happening.  We forget it is all a dream.  Who takes their dreams so seriously as to think that anything that happens in the dream is real?  Only a fool, that’s who.  It is imperative that we remember at all times that all we experience is a dream and therefore cannot harm us, much less affect us in any way…unless we allow it.

The less perceptions one has, the less labels, the less beliefs, the less dogmas, the less thinking that one does in trying to figure out reality, then the more able one is to correctly discern it all as it really is.

As a example of this kind of mindset, I have had rare experiences during deep meditation in which everything I looked at looked like a thin virtual world, and I could detect its illusory nature to the point where it seemed that I could see thru solid objects, even my own body, as though I suddenly had the X-Ray vision of the comic hero Superman.

There is a saying.  “With God, anything is possible.”  It has also been stated another way.  “With God, nothing is impossible.”  Both of these statements are correct in light of the above paragraphs.  Think about it.  If there is nothing out there, nothing to truly perceive, i.e. if nothing is real, then why should anything be impossible to perceive or experience in some way shape or form at any given vantage point in space-time (which is also an illusion)?  If it is all illusion, all a dream, then how can it be impossible to experience anything at all?  In light of the universal principle of reality as illusion, how can any one dream be more preposterous or unreal or impossible than any other?  So-called impossible things are happening all the time right in front of us.  After all, the reason anything happens is because we have lifted our disbelief that it can happen—and so it does happen.

Every human being on earth is currently doing and/or experiencing something(s) that at least one other person on earth is convinced is impossible.  But if one person does a new thing, something never before seen, then the mere fact of that occurrence instantly nullifies the very idea that it was impossible for that thing to happen, now doesn’t it?  This is the very essence of the well known 100th Monkey phenomenon, an event actually witnessed and recorded by scientists.  Briefly, one monkey does something new in the monkey world, then another and another start doing the new thing, and before you know it, all monkeys are doing the new thing, even and most especially those monkeys who live far away, having no physical contact with the original monkeys .  And so what was once impossible or unthinkable becomes common place.  It would appear that even the monkeys are in touch with God (or something).

And we humans are so foolish to think that we are not in touch with Divinity?  Who is smarter, then?  The monkey or the human?

Much of humanity’s selfish endeavors relies heavily upon the common man’s ignorance of his own stupendous inherent abilities to create his world around him.  With humans, the 100th Monkey phenomenon has become perverted into the One Selfish Monkey phenomenon.  This usually occurs in business circles when one monkey discovers something new that would benefit all the fellow monkeys, however the monkey greedily keeps it secret so it can use this secret to make a buck from his fellow monkeys.  There is also the One Destructive Monkey phenomenon, usually found in the most unenlightened and uncivilized militarized groups of the world, in which something new is discovered and immediately applied towards destroying other monkeys.

The most benign variation of this monkey phenomenon may be called the Messiah Monkey phenomenon.  This occurs when one monkey discovers the true nature of life, the universe, reality, God, etc., and tries to share it with his other monkeys to alleviate their suffering.  What usually happens is that all of the Selfish, Greedy and Destructive monkeys gang up on the Messiah Monkey and kill him, all in order to protect their own selfish monkey interests, to prevent the other Common Monkeys from learning that they are being screwed over royally by the Selfish Monkeys.

Human or Monkey—which is smarter?  Which is more…human?

COMPASSION OF THE HEART BRINGS HEAVEN TO EARTH

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

If people knew how much they hurt each other on a daily basis, they wouldn’t need to be taught ‘official’ rules of conduct, nor would they be lorded over by harshly enforced external laws, nor would they ever need to be.

One account by a guru states that on the Astral Plane populated by enlightened yogis, all of these beings instantly feel great pain at the slightest mistreatment forced upon themselves by others, and that pain is also instantly sensed by the one inflicting the pain.  Naturally, such violations are rare and therefore peace is the norm.

On the Physical Plane however, most people’s trigger switch for compassion is set very high.  They must have enormous amounts of evidence that someone or something is in pain before their switch flips, allowing compassion to change their mind about continuing what they were doing.

This is why using Intuition, what you instantly feel is right, is so important—because the Heart’s Intuition already knows what the Mind would take much longer to figure out through observation, reason, logic, analysis, etc.  The Heart connects to what is directly in front of it through a technique of passive reception.  This requires a quiet mind and/or a meditative trance—call it what you will.  The idea is to be silent and still.  Even the Bible advises to “Be still and know that I am God.”  To know God, one must receive it.

If I had to bet on it, I would wager that the biggest reason that every country in history that allowed itself to become fanatical, imperial, fascist, dictatorial, etc., stems from their leader’s and/or the populace’s inadequate use of the Heart’s Intuition as described above, to bring about a more nonviolent interaction with their neighbors.

The more compassionate a leader and/or its populace; the longer will be its track record for peaceful relations with their neighbors, with few or even no wars (example—Tibet).  The reason for this is that the people are more calm and relaxed and genial with each other.  They also afford time to peaceful meditation or inner work of some sort.  Whenever they be still and know God, they realize that unprovoked aggression upon their neighbors would be hurtful and certainly the opposite of compassion, so they do not engage in such activity.  Peaceful and joyful lives can result from the realization and subsequent application of such compassionate activity, not only for individuals but for whole nations.

When a populace behaves in such compassionate ways, they literally have the power to create an Astral heaven upon the Earth, literally manifesting Heaven on Earth.

DOING NOTHING IS NOT WHAT IS SEEMS

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Sometimes I think that yogis are simply people who have turned “doing nothing” into a high art form.  I use quotes here because even when yogis are meditating, appearing to outside observers as doing nothing, rest assured they are not “doing nothing”.  For someone such as this to simply exist here in the 3d physical world in itself is a blessing, if for no other reason than to emit peaceful vibrations by their very presence in the world.

The inability of the masses to see the illusion before them causes involuntary reactions to all they experience in life, constantly unconsciously believing that all that happens in life is actually ‘real’, which causes hell to follow them around all their lives.  Such are the actions of a automaton, a robot, a zombie.

By contrast, yogis (and other spiritual masters) have learned to react only if they choose to react, leaving them the option to be at such peace in any situation that it can appear to the outside observer that they are ‘doing nothing’.

THINK FOR YOURSELF, QUESTION AUTHORITY

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

In occult circles that practice sexual rites, it is generally practiced that each member is initiated by a high-ranking member of the opposite sex, i.e., initiated male members initiate new women into the group, and initiated female members initiate new men into the group.  In this way, the spiritual light is passed around to all, shared equally by all.  The Love is shared equally.  From another perspective, some might call this practice a form of “free love”.

It dawned on me one evening while lost in meditation that society (in general) does everything it can to stop this kind of intensely intimate exchange of God’s highest, purest and most intimate expression.  One could state quite accurately therefore that society is therefore bereft of light, love, and joy.

If people in society would be happy, they must question what the authorities tell us is appropriate thoughts and behavior, and follow through with their own ideas, creating their own world of happiness outside the circles of programming and fear that society enforce on us.  They must flow with what they feel is right, or else they are not manifesting themselves truthfully with their lives, but rather expressing what some outside entity desires.

Living according to what ‘authorities’ demand is what it is—sin.  It is a sin against one’s own self, against one’s own soul, against the very spirit of God.

What is God’s Will for humanity?  To forsake the nonsense of others and live according to God’s plan for us.

Question authority.  Do what you will, not what others would will you to do—they don’t know better than you what is best for you.  Do what God wills for you.

Only then will you be happy.

LIFE IS A CHILDREN’S STORY

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

When we are children, we love to hear stories.  As time passes, we slowly put aside the stories of our youth in exchange for the stories of adulthood.  When we grow tired of that, we may search for something deeper, search for God, for Truth.  But sometimes the truth we discover is so painful, we prefer the story instead, and the story goes on as an experience we call life.

The Truth is nothing like our stories.  Nothing like what our lives appear to be.  The Truth cannot be captured in stories itself, but lies deeper in the foundation from which the stories are made.  The Truth cannot be captured in life, but lies deeper in the foundation from which life is made.  The Truth is outside of stories, outside of the experience called life.  There is no point in life itself.  The Truth is not made from life—life is made from the Truth, but is still not the Truth itself.  The Truth can best be discerned during one’s life, through relentless observation.  And once perceived, one can live life as a reflection of this hidden Truth.  Then one becomes a manifestation of Truth itself, an Incarnation of Truth.  And if I understand correctly, spiritual masters who arrive at this point can choose to end the story-experience called life.

For those of us who are not yet spiritual masters, life goes on.  The story goes on.  When will we ever grow tired of the stories?  Isn’t existence itself one great story?  A grand story, but a story nonetheless?  How big and grand a story do we have to experience before we say, “Enough!”  The stories are not Truth, but are made from it.  Therefore to believe totally in it, or partially in it, taking everything at face value, means that we are accepting a story, which is inaccurate because it is at best a reflection of the Truth, and not the Truth itself.  This causes us to live our life in error.

From all my observation and experience, it appears to be best to live life according to the hidden laws that govern what we experience, working with those laws, mastering them, living according to them.  In that way, we become as close a reflection to the Truth as is possible while still in a physical human body.  This is becoming a living example of a spiritual life for the benefit of others’ observation and analysis.

INSURANCE INSURES NOTHING, NEITHER DOES A MARRIAGE LICENSE

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

Where exactly do the ‘dangers of premarital sex’ disappear to when a couple gets married?  How exactly is it safer to have sex when a marriage contract is signed?  Is the God-force that drives us to procreate somehow truly tamed and controlled by a piece of paper?  I have never witnessed such a thing.  If it were truly so, then all people would be devoted to their mate for the duration of the marriage.  And yet couples have affairs.  They also get divorced.  Was the marriage contract meant to eliminate these ‘dangers’?  Was the marriage contract meant to concretize faithfulness and/or durability?  Given the current divorce rate, I would venture that an “officially recognized” marriage guarantees nothing in the way of avoiding what could/would happen without the official documents.  In other words, the situation would be the same as if the sexually active couple were living together, sleeping together, and otherwise generally doing all the things that a married couple would do…just without a piece of paper allegedly guaranteeing eternal happiness and fidelity.

Look at it another way.  If you buy insurance, does that mean that the terrible occurrence the insurance is alleged to prevent will in fact not happen?  Of course not.  But most people buy insurance to make themselves feel safe.

I think the idea of solving a problem at the level at which it was created is a sign of ignorance at least, a mark of insanity at worst.  Trying to prevent a physical event from happening by using some form of physical symbolism is not only silly, but usually never works.  I say ‘usually’ because the key to prevention is mental (as is everything else).  Having insurance does not prevent a thing from happening.  It merely provides us (most of the time) with a means of getting the needed funds for fixing something or otherwise returning to a normal life after the event has already taken place.

Insurance is a scam played upon the ignorant and unsuspecting.  It is a way for selfish and fearful people to bury their fears in paperwork and funding, believing that the insurance is some kind of talisman that magically prevents destruction.  Let’s be real, insurance companies have no such divine power, though they spend millions of dollars in advertising in an effort to convince an otherwise ignorant public that they in fact do hold sway with the Almighty.  (And I find it more than a little humorous that insurance companies sometimes admit to their own lie by occasionally categorizing a natural disaster as an ‘act of God’.)

Of course the cosmic joke played on all of us is that magical talismans really can and do work towards prevention of various events, but only if they are prepared by a real magician.  Good luck finding one.  And the last time I checked, insurance companies are not magicians, unless you are willing to concede that they are able to make your money magically disappear whilst duping you into believing that their system actually prevents anything from happening.

Well, in that case, even I would admit they are freaking adepts…at fraud.

And as for the alleged magical power of a marriage license to create lasting happiness and cause eternal fidelity?  Then perhaps you should reread this whole essay again…

THE DEATH OF YOUTH, THE DEATH OF US ALL

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

It seems to me that our society’s whole manner of living is geared towards wrangling and corralling all of the energy, enthusiasm, creativity and joy of youth, and crushing it forever, accomplished by constant cultural programming for an existence (if one can call it that) that is a dull reflection of the possibilities of life, leading the newly programmed robot-child into a slow lingering subsistence (don’t dare call it life) filled with lethargy, disinterest, unoriginality, fear, disappointment, desperation and sadness until finally their programmed misery is brought to an end thru the great equalizer of death, either by suicide or so-called ‘natural’ causes.  When I look around at the world, it seems that little if anything at all in society serves to further the human race on any level.  Everything just seems to exist to bring us down and control us.

I wonder if instead of the above, we lived a life as God intended for us, would we live longer, always being youthful in appearance and conduct until we have fulfilled ourselves of all of our dreams (or else let go of all of them)?  Then perhaps death could be a conscious choice (possibly its original and truest function?) instead of being a welcome and merciful release from an existence (again, don’t dare call it life) that we never intended for ourselves?

Sometimes, it certainly seems that way to me.

LIFE IS A DREAM, WE ARE IMAGINATION OF OURSELVES

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

It has been said that life is a dream.  Perhaps life is nothing more than a Memory.

Perhaps life is not something that is currently happening so much as it is a thing that already happened.  Or stated more universally, life is a Thing-That-Is-Not-A-Thing, because since it is/was an ephemeral dream and therefore not eternal.  Therefore Life may be correctly viewed as a remembered dream.

But Life may also be viewed as God dreaming that it was some-thing that thought it wasn’t God, separated from God.  And this thing wondered and wondered about God, the nature of God, how to find God, wondering if it would ever find God, all during the imaginary time frame in which the thing-no-thing thought itself was really alive.

If God is dreaming all this, they why should the thing question all the junk that goes on around it in the first place?  The thing should just enjoy it, for when God exhausts its imagination on this thing, then the thing will disappear.  After all, it never really was real in the first place.

Masters know these above statements to be true.  They in turn usually stick around on earth for the benefit of others, to help them.  They live a life in compassionate service to others.  That is the kind of memory they choose to download from God—or is God choosing to upload the memory to them?

If life is a dream, just a remembering of a memory, then it is absolutely ludicrous to judge anything that seems to go on out there, for not only is it a dream, but it is not even necessarily a dream happening for the very first time in this moment of NOW.  It could just be like a movie one watches in a theater.  And it is OK to be engaged in the movie, to enjoy it.

But remember that the movie is not real, and you therefore need not let it affect you seriously, as though the characters were any more real than the patterns of light that projected their image on the silver screen.  Nevertheless ‘hardcore fans’ of certain movies act as if their favorite stories were real, missing the point of the story, overlooking the lessons offered by the movie’s plot.

Judging things experienced as happening “out there” is as silly as being one of those hardcore fans.  Remember, it could just all be a set of memories being played out for your entertainment and/or observation only.

Therefore learn from it, laugh at it, be ready to move out of it permanently (death-enlightenment), but don’t take it seriously (don’t be a fan of it) because that will keep you here for a long, long time.

Paramahansa Yogananda used to tell his students that life is like a movie…don’t take it seriously.
