THE FACE OF CREATIVITY

In Eastern philosophy there is a principle that states that god is always creating anew at every moment.  God creates, period.  Nothing is stationary.  Nothing is static or still, ever.  This constant action of creation is sometimes referred to as the “Dance of Shiva”, Shiva being another name for god in the Hindu pantheon.  The Source is always creating.  And being connected to the Source, so should we also be creating as well.

Perhaps the best way to live a meaningful life is to create.  Create anything, just create.  Adopt the perspective of consumers and producers.  Consumers never contribute anything to the world.  Producers are always contributing something of themselves.  Producers are creators.  They are living their lives ‘on purpose’.  Their polarity has shifted from what they can attract to themselves to what can they give to the world.

Producers are always working on some project or another.  A producer finds inspiration in their own dharma, the work they are meant to do.  The best producers do not even care about rewards.  They are too busy creating to worry about what will come back to them.  These kinds of people are truly inspired.  When deeply inspired by a project, the mind thinks in new directions never before dreamed.  All limiting thoughts have their bonds broken.  The imagination expands outward, and dormant forces and talents come online and you discover yourself to be greater than you ever thought you could be.  This is the magick of creation and of creating itself.  In the East, it is said that God is in a state of constant Joy because it is a Joy to create, just as it is a Joy for a married couple to attempt to create a child.  When we are ‘married’ to our creative projects, we are also in a similar state of Joy.  In the face of such inner happiness, the idea of being a consumer simply doesn’t compare.

When you are busy creating, everything is working in your life.  You are connected to the source within, and while there may be difficulties and obstacles to overcome, rest assured there will be no mistakes.  The only thing you can really do with your life, to make it meaningful, is to give it away—suspend your ego and be of service to humanity.  Don’t die with your ‘music’ still in you.  Your thoughts about your purpose are your purpose trying to connect to you.  Pay attention to your thoughts and follow thru with them.  The source is always creating.  The source is always trying to create thru you.  Find your dharma by finding what inspires you and makes you want to move.  True nobility is being more and better than who and what you used to be.

Make your life meaningful—create.
