TANTRA, SURFING & RIDING THE BIG ONE
The practice of Tantra is just like surfing.
In surfing, the idea is to ride the wave as long as possible.
In Tantra, the idea is to ride the wave of orgasmic pleasure as long as possible.
With the most common type of sex, people usually just want to ‘get off’ quickly. If you have sex solely for the purpose of ‘getting off’ quickly, that is the equivalent of a surfer who stands up on the board for a couple of seconds and voluntarily falls into the water…and then does it again and again and again, all the while wondering why the hell they are getting tired of surfing and not really enjoying the sport in the long run.
Real surfers learn to ride the wave, and to search for bigger waves to generate longer rides. The logic is simple. The bigger the wave, the longer the ride, and the more pleasure they receive from their efforts.
Tantric practitioners learn to ride the waves of orgasmic pleasure, and to find ways to ride bigger waves of pleasure, and for longer periods of time. The logic is simple. The bigger the orgasmic wave, the longer the ride, and the more pleasure they receive from their efforts.
Recently, one of the best surfers in the world has designed a new surfboard with a small horizontal wing mounted a couple of feet beneath the board. This wing flies through the water providing lift which causes the whole board itself to rise up off the surface of the water. He learned to ride it successfully and due to his experience with the way this board handles he has recently expressed interest in the possibility of surfing a huge ocean swell literally for miles, and theoretically across an entire ocean. This may sound preposterous, however……
Though it may sound absolutely impossible, some Tantric practitioners can have sex for days on end if they so desire. Essentially, all they have done is to discover a huge Divine swell of pleasure and ridden it for as long as they wish.
Divinity is full of repetitive patterns that manifest in seemingly diverse yet similar ways in our world. All one need do to prove this is to just open oneself up to observing it.
