LIFE IS JUST A GAME, SO TAKE IT EASY
Remember, life is like a game. Whatever we do, we do what we do for fun. Anyone who takes life seriously is missing the point. Anyone who lives life for personal gain, like some of the more self-important, grossly overpaid, professional competitive sports players, is missing the point of life. Anyone who takes life seriously, like the egotistical pro athlete, is missing the point of the game entirely. Take nothing seriously, as it is all “small stuff” (as one recent spiritual book states). It is impossible to be offended when you have the Truth. No one and no thing can truly hurt you, ever. Therefore there is no reason to fear, ever.
There is no reason to fear ‘losing’ a game that isn’t winnable in the first place. Games are meant for fun. We can learn from it, improve our skills by playing it, until we become masters of the game. Then we can become teachers to other players, coaches of the soul. After all, what is the point of continuing to play if you have mastered a game with nothing to win? The only reason left to hang around on the field is to teach the remaining players what you have learned.
If you choose to live life, live it for fun and enjoyment, regardless of whether you appear to have ‘won’ or ‘lost’. Remember that since you are just playing a fun game with no regard as to the score. So where does winning or losing come in? They don’t! Therefore winning and losing are illusions that are irrelevant. Such appearances are misleading. And they only appear that way because of comparison to the allegedly larger than life attainments of others. Comparisons are pointless; especially since one person’s egotistical attainment would be a waste of life from another person’s perspective. All is One, and your brothers/sisters are essentially no different than you. You are all One manifesting as One, but appearing as Many.
Compare yourself to yourself, would you? Senseless!
