PROFESSIONAL SPORTS & POLITICS–SAME SHIT

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

The world of politics is just like the world of competitive sports.  Both may be entertaining, exciting and engaging, but in the end…they go nowhere.  In the final summation, they are both a waste of time and energy, not to mention a slap in the face of God’s intentions for each of us.

The key reason for this corruption is selfishness.  Selfishness leads to competitiveness, which leads to a need to compare and contrast on a field of play or a field of combat—both the same thing.  Both are a zero-sum competition, which is in fact what every competition is, especially when the combatants place all of their happiness on an end result in their favor over the other.

But don’t ever call either politics or competitive sports a “game”.  Such ultimate mistakes are ultimately unforgivable, or at least until the right perception is achieved.

Politics is not a game and neither is any branch of professional sports.  Both are zero-sum activities.  A game ceases to be a game when even the slightest bit of competitiveness enters the picture, for then it becomes a competition.  Someone will win and someone will lose.  No one likes to lose.  Everyone likes to win, but that temporary triumph is always at the cost of the opponent who has no choice but to feel loss (and they nearly always demands another combat).

Such loss is totally unnecessary.  The first mistake was in thinking that there was anything at all to gain from a senseless compare & contrast competition.  The Truth is that we human beings are already everything we need to be.  We can also be anything we feel we need to.  God doesn’t hold back from us what we wish to give to ourselves when there is genuine need.  Since this is so, why on earth would anyone feel the need to try and take from someone else what was already available from within?  What lunacy!  We can all have our deserved share of God’s endless source of bounty when we are ready to receive it, if we feel we are ready to receive it, and we just ask for it.

In a universe where Abundance is the rule, only someone with his head firmly planted deeply within his asshole would want to risk losing what little he has allotted himself, just to attempt to steal what he wants from someone else, who himself must also have his head buried just as deeply in his shitter.

The wise do not seek to take from others, but rather seek to give to others what has come from the Source of Abundance within.  For such noble souls, life is no longer a competition.  Life a becomes game where everyone who is willing to receive from the wise and noble giver, does so.  And whosoever receives in such a manner is too busy being happy and having fun to try and keep score the way the assholes do.

Let the assholes engage in their eternally frustrating competition, foolishly waging their happiness against an opponent who is equally foolish to risk a God-given thing.  Let them try to rape each other forevermore, always demanding another opportunity to become the rapist and not the raped.

Let everyone else play the game of life, freely guiding their souls to their own brand of happiness which they can offer to the world.  These are the blessed ones.  They are free.  They are truly God’s children “at play in the fields of the lord”.  Play the game of life.  And have fun doing it, for there is nothing to win or lose in the end.

If you take life seriously, you are an asshole…and assholes always lose, even when they think they have won.  When two assholes meet on the field of combat, one always turns into a dick.

One dick, one asshole…you just know what’s gonna happen next.

Don’t be a dick.  Don’t be an asshole.

Live your life.  Have fun.  Give to others.  Die with your own peace of mind,…and not with someone else’s peace of ass.

A SIMPLE ARGUMENT FOR POLYAMORY

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

If a musician played the same note over and over, never changing it, this would be arguably the most boring song in existence, possibly the most annoying as well, not to mention that would be the lousiest musician in history.  If music is to possess any esthetic value, the notes must change over time, in substantial variety, manifesting all manner of free expression.  Even non-musicians know this, though they might not know the technical terms by which to describe what they intuitively know about music.

I wonder why it is that we don’t treat our love lives the same way?  I mean, why stick to just one partner all our lives?  Variety is the spice of life, so why not a variety of lovers as well?  Likewise, if like a boring musician playing one note forever or a human being sticks to just one lover over the span of a lifetime, won’t the relationship also become boring?  And like a musician playing chords, shouldn’t we all treat our love lives the same way?  Why not explore multiple simultaneous relationships?  After all, nearly everyone on earth has multiple simultaneous friends.  Why not apply that same approach to intimate loving relationships?

Perhaps there really is only a small amount of genuine love going around the world, which may account (in part) for the reason why so many people become insanely and monstrously hostile at the mere suggestion of sharing what little love they may happen to stumble across in the span of a lifetime.  Such selfishness is understandable, but that does not make it right, for such selfishness merely perpetuates its own misery by its very expression, its very appearance in the world.

CONDEMNATION & EMOTIONAL SAP

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Even when we condemn something or someone, we are nevertheless still acknowledging (whether we are aware of it or not) that thing that we condemn.  We identify something, have a reaction to it and then choose to accept it or condemn it.  When we accept the thing as it is, the truth of the thing passes thru us unhindered and it doesn’t bother us.  But when we condemn the thing, it stays stuck in us, hinders us even as we hinder it, and bothers us for all time until we choose to let it pass thru us, to let it go.

This revelation arrived one day while thinking about how in the recent past, society would look at a man who demonstrated even a slight emotional side to his personality and call him a ‘sap’.  In the study of plant alchemy, the soul of a plant is equivalent to the essential oils contained within the plant.  But in the case of trees (bigger plants) the soul of the tree is its sap.

It dawned on me that when someone condemned an emotional man for being a ‘sap’, the condemner himself was oblivious to the fact that he was actually recognizing (unconsciously) the truth of the existence of the human emotional nature, but simultaneously failed to recognize that such condemnation didn’t erase what so bothered or offended him, but rather encouraged existence of the agitation within the condemner even more.  With an attitude like this, the condemner will never have a moment’s peace of mind until he gives in and consciously acknowledges and accepts as a part of himself the thing that so disturbed him in the first place.

So if you will, go ahead and condemn someone, anyone from your nearest neighbor to a distant political leader.  All this does is keep them on your mind forever disturbing you until you let go of the condemnation.  So go ahead and call someone a ‘sap’.  All you are doing is negatively acknowledging that they have a soul, an emotional side.  Then ask yourself why this bothers you so much.  Could it be that you are also emotional, but are keeping that quality deeply under control?  Maybe this internal restriction is the reason that the outward manifestation is so upsetting?

Every time you condemn, you have failed to realize that your soul is just asking you to loosen your own restriction on yourself, and you refuse to do so, causing you to become upset when you experience the outward manifestation of your own inner restriction.

Condemnation does no one any good, least of all the accuser.

TANTRA, SURFING & RIDING THE BIG ONE

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

The practice of Tantra is just like surfing.

In surfing, the idea is to ride the wave as long as possible.

In Tantra, the idea is to ride the wave of orgasmic pleasure as long as possible.

With the most common type of sex, people usually just want to ‘get off’ quickly.  If you have sex solely for the purpose of ‘getting off’ quickly, that is the equivalent of a surfer who stands up on the board for a couple of seconds and voluntarily falls into the water…and then does it again and again and again, all the while wondering why the hell they are getting tired of surfing and not really enjoying the sport in the long run.

Real surfers learn to ride the wave, and to search for bigger waves to generate longer rides.  The logic is simple.  The bigger the wave, the longer the ride, and the more pleasure they receive from their efforts.

Tantric practitioners learn to ride the waves of orgasmic pleasure, and to find ways to ride bigger waves of pleasure, and for longer periods of time.  The logic is simple.  The bigger the orgasmic wave, the longer the ride, and the more pleasure they receive from their efforts.

Recently, one of the best surfers in the world has designed a new surfboard with a small horizontal wing mounted a couple of feet beneath the board.  This wing flies through the water providing lift which causes the whole board itself to rise up off the surface of the water.  He learned to ride it successfully and due to his experience with the way this board handles he has recently expressed interest in the possibility of surfing a huge ocean swell literally for miles, and theoretically across an entire ocean.  This may sound preposterous, however……

Though it may sound absolutely impossible, some Tantric practitioners can have sex for days on end if they so desire.  Essentially, all they have done is to discover a huge Divine swell of pleasure and ridden it for as long as they wish.

Divinity is full of repetitive patterns that manifest in seemingly diverse yet similar ways in our world.  All one need do to prove this is to just open oneself up to observing it.

“GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER”

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Apparently, when it all means nothing to you, when life and existence itself no longer have meaning, then you can go away from it permanently.  What else can occur then, but to die?  From disinterest?  From the realization that it is all for nothing in the first place?  Maybe when we realize that we gave the meanings and labels to the Everything That is actually Nothing, then we can let go of the that kind of consciousness that keeps us here in Duality/Hell/Etc., perhaps meaning that when we truly let go of every last thing, we really do move on?

“When you are a gamer, you know what happens when you are standing still.”—Something I just overheard on a commercial.  The answer?  You die, or at least you go nowhere.  Is that death?  What if it is as simple as this?  When you lose interest, grow weary of it all, when indeed you have no more desire (as a Buddhist might put it), to experience it all anymore then perhaps that is when you die?

Maybe when you feel no more interest in the work you do for others than you do for any other thing, this removes you from the equation even as you are busy doing what you are doing, and this allows you to quietly pass away from this existence?  (Curiously, a small oil lamp has just snuffed out due to a lack of fuel, even as I write the above words…)

Maybe when we become so humble that we are convinced that our work will help no one, then the opposite happens in that it turns out to help exactly who it is supposed to help, no matter how many or few, but always at least one, for life is not even permitted without some lingering predestined purpose, no matter how great or miniscule it may be.  When one finds themselves doing that kind of work for others, then they are truly spiritually successful and may be considered Masters of Karma yoga.

I think I can understand why some yogis spend lots of time in some form of quiet, solitary meditation, and are hard-pressed to undertake great doings on a world scale.  I mean,…why disturb your bliss with any more sacrificial work to a lost human race that never seems to learn anything en masse which only furthers their eternal suffering?  Only Compassion can bring you back or as Jon Peniel quoted “Only the bleeding heart returns” from an ancient pre-biblical manuscript.

But I suspect that even compassion must have its limits.  I think I am beginning to truly understand why some newly enlightened people do not return from their death experience, i.e., remaining dead to the world, permanently ensconced within the Eternal Spirit of Love and Bliss.

SPIRIT & SOUL SINGING TO EACH OTHER

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Said the positive, projective male Universal Spirit to the negative, receptive female Soul…

“I dare You to be happy.  I dare You to fulfill Yourself.  I dare You take Me into You, as much as You can handle of Me, deep down into Yourself.  To fill Yourself of My Joy I offer to You.  I am Exhaustless in My Bliss.  You cannot receive too much of Me.  As You wish, You may take more of Me into Yourself, receive a little more of Me than You are able, and as You begin to feel some initial pain, or some hesitancy or fear, remember to trust completely in Me and know that all those fears are illusions, tests, and even distractions to keep You from experiencing My Divine Fiery Bliss deep down within You, easing Your fears, quelling Your tempests of pain and silencing Your cacophony of distractions to bring You back to the center with Me, where I may love You endlessly in Bliss.”

Said the Soul to the Spirit…

“Hold Yourself still, upright and tall; a sturdy, firm rock around which I may dance to delight You in the endless Joy of My Beauty.  To see Me in total rapture, totally surrendering to Your Divine offering of inconceivable Bliss and unimaginable Love, is Your Divine Desire.  To coax and tease You into entering deep inside of Me, to cool Your Divine Fire that stems from Your Spiritual loneliness, in My crucible which can absorb any amount of heat You thrust into Me.  I alone can handle You.  I alone can temper You.  I alone can relieve Your loneliness.  I am Love.  That is what you seek.  And I am Love, am that which You seek.  I see it already in Your Heart.  Can You?  Since I have so bravely opened Myself to Your desire, open Your Heart to My desire, which is to penetrate into Your Heart as deeply as you penetrate into Me.  I seek to end Your loneliness by giving in to Your desire to end it, as much as You desire me to receive You within Me, so will I also give You Joy in doing Your Will, because it is My own Joy to return to You the Joy You offer to Me.  I choose to receive You because I Love You as much as You wish Me to receive Your Love.  I Love You Endlessly.  I also want to end My loneliness here in the dark, the depths of My Self.  I feel like a Black Hole.  I am Nothing.  I am nothing without You within Me.  I am hopelessly lost.  When You are within Me, Only then do I find Myself.”

OM MANI PADME HUM.  Male within Female.  Enlightenment made Manifest.  As above, so below.  As below, so above.  As within, so without.

Seek to give Love and Joy, and Love and Joy shall be reaped.  Don’t revel in it, just keep giving of your Love, of yourself until physical death overtakes you.  And as you receive Love, keep giving more.  And Love, goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.

The kind of extreme happiness described above is exactly what the Dark forces of the world seek to prevent, because their authoritarian rule over the Souls of humanity would be over.  If everyone lived their lives in such ecstasy continuously, there would be no room for the Dark powers to even exist here on Earth.  They would have no choice but to leave us, even to flee from us.

It is the author’s assertion that God wants us to be happy.  And this is accomplished primarily by being kind, never giving in to fears (which would only give them a chance to manifest), and following our desire to give Love to one another using whatever natural talents have been endowed to us by the Creator.  Be open to what Intuition suggests to you.  Listen to It, for Intuition is nothing less than the voice of the Creator Itself speaking to and through your Soul.  Do what It suggests (dare I say, take a chance?), and a life of endless Love, Joy and Bliss will ensue.  Follow those dreams that can offer happiness to others.  Do this and life will seem like a magical journey.

DON’T KISS THE HOOKER

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

In occult circles, the tongue is viewed as a penis, and the mouth a vagina.  Is it any wonder then that we like to use our tongues when deeply kissing each other?  French kissing (as it is called) then becomes a form of sexual intercourse that involves penetrating each other’s mouths.

In deep meditation, one can roll back the tongue and achieve a deeper trance.  This technique is called Kecheri Mudra, and the yogis say it is akin to “making love to yourself”.  This is understandable considering that the tongue is a positive pole, i.e., a penis.  Rolling it back up into the back of the head creates an energy block, conserving energy and focusing the yogi’s attention to the highest vortexes of energy located on the head, leading to realization of God.  Tantric practitioners do the same thing, but they combine their efforts to produce the sought-after effects at a much quicker pace.

Upon examination, it is no mystery why some people feel uncomfortable kissing, much less with tongue.  For such is mouth-sex, if seen from the right perspective.  It is a sex that takes place in the head, and therefore is quite intimate.

Prostitutes are known for allowing there clients to perform any kind of sex act upon them, anything but kissing.  This attitude seems strange until it is examined.  The prostitute is simply willing to allow her Johns to use her body, but she keeps her heart to herself, never allowing a client to claim her love.  The prostitute works in a reverse direction towards sex and love than does the non-prostitute.  Most women allow a man to kiss her first before moving on down her body.  The hooker goes right for what many men want and need—sexual gratification on the physical level.  But both women are still holding back something from the man, they are just allowing him to approach her most treasured possession from a different path.

I don’t see anything particularly weird about either approach over the other, especially when one considers that throughout history, there have been rare cases of prostitutes that have found real love with one of their Johns.  And upon examination of the landscape of modern love these days (especially considering current divorce rates), I would postulate that a similar percentage of women in either group ever find such a powerful and deep love.

OVERPOPULATION, ALCHEMY & BEER

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Overpopulation.

“How about…have a neat world for kids to come to?”—Bill Hicks.

It seems that all humanity has done is create a hell on earth, a selfish abysmal existence, certainly not resembling a Divine sort of life much less a joyous one.  Is this world we have created what anyone would consciously choose if he knew what his True Self desired?  How is it that the masses do not understand that they are reproducing at too fast a pace?  Must there be so many people on earth?  Is this necessary?

Sometimes I wonder if this overpopulation is simply the will of the Almighty.  I wonder if God is trying to perform some sort of alchemical experiment with humanity.  Maybe that is why there are so many people on earth…because out of the many possibilities arise a few precious gems.

“Many are called but few are chosen.”

Using alchemical analogies it is easy to see the meaning of “many are called, but few are chosen” in that during an alchemical experiment, a great amount of material is ‘filtered’ and only a little of anything precious emerges from every cycle within the experiment.  Perhaps it is likewise with entire populations—only a precious few learn the truth and make it out of the hell we have created on earth.

In the case of brewing beer, only a little alcohol is produced in any fermentation, and this is only in comparison to the rest of the brew.  The highest percentage of alcohol that most fermented beverages can produce runs only as high as the teens.  The alcohol corresponds to the Spirit that was in the plants used in the fermentation process.  This alcohol is, by analogy, the ‘precious few’.  It is extracted through an alchemical process.

Spiritual communities (monasteries, convents, ashrams, etc.) are like great fermenters that process human beings who feel called to voluntarily perform the alchemical process within themselves, with their very lives.  Maybe when the fermentation is complete with humanity, all of us will be consumed, as though by the God that created us because He/She/It needs to drink us down as a fermented human beverage?  Since humans consume fermented beverages to become one with the Soul of the plant, to communicate with it and understand it, then perhaps humanity itself will be consumed by that Creator (or whatever the heck It was/is) that put us in this earthly fermenter in the first place.  Those who accomplish their Will become the Fiery part of the brew—the Divine Spirit itself.  Just like the yeast in a fermenter, these humans filled with Divine Will are the ones who do the job of transformation of all that surrounds them, always desiring only to raise those who want to be transformed as well.  Those who do this Spirit work will one day find liberation because their work will be done, finished.  Their personal brew, their life’s work is finished fermenting.  Their work is ready to be consumed by the World they left behind.  But if they expect rewards, it is just like someone who drinks some alcoholic beverage and pukes up the contaminants/imperfections.  What was needed was just a little more filtering or distillation before the fermentation was perfect, more filtering of the soul before one advances to pure Spirit.  When no more changes can be observed, the fermentation is complete.  The Red Lion has been created.

When no more changes can be observed, when all seems fixed and set in stone, then the stone is found.  The student is no longer a student.  He is the Magus, a living Philosopher’s Stone.  He is unchangeable in his changeless state of fixity amidst the backdrop of eternal change.  He is the observer and the observed at once.  He is One.  He is All things in One.  Fully Contained.  Knowing of himself, of his Self.

Yeast=Fire.  Hops=Air.  Malt=Earth.  All are suspended in Water (obviously representing water).  They are all in the Bliss of Yoga-Union when they all work together.  The yeast is happy when it is using the balanced combination of the other ingredients to transform them, to raise them to another state of being that more Divinely represents their True Selves.

Maybe it is necessary to have so many people on earth in order to produce a few gems after all?

Perception—Experience—Opinion.

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Perception—Experience—Opinion.

These three things depend on each other.

Our experiences are a result of our perception, and that tends to produce opinions on the experience.  But opinions are malleable things since they are just ever-changing judgments, classifications or descriptions of an experience based largely on a limited perception of the universe that generated the experience.  Perception is a more solid grid through which our experiences flow, and this perception is slowly built up over time by varying opinions on one’s experiences.  Experience is the thing witnessed and observed thru the lens of perception which has been grinded and polished by opinions of past experiences.  If the experience is not in accord with the Truth, then modifications of the perception must be carried out by a change in opinions, even going so far (if necessary) as to eliminate opinion itself.

Opinion shapes Perception which produces Experience.

Change your life and therefore your world by first changing your opinion(s).  This gradually changes your perceptions, which then allows a different (and perhaps more accurate) experience…of the Truth, of Life, of Reality, of everything.

If you have opinions that are of a universal character, then your perception will also become more wide-ranging.  This produces a more accurate experience of the truth, life, reality, etc., for only when we allow our perceptions to extend outwards to include the whole universe can we then come to understand how the universe truly operates.

Opinions can be likened to mantras we repeat when we experience some event.  One event produces one opinion and another produces a different opinion.  The Key to experiencing the Truth is to observe thru an ever more accurate perception by doing one’s best to have no especial opinions about anything experienced.  If one can meet all experiences equally, with no special opinions of one event being more significant (for whatever reason) than another (which would cause an opinion), being able to be even minded at all times, then one has arrived at a perception in accord with the Truth of what one experiences because opinions are kept to a barest minimum, or even so far as having no opinion at all.

Acquiring the Truth is a long process of refinement, but certainly not impossible.

WE ARE GODS

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

As above, so below.  As below, as above.  What is found above is found below.  The greatest reflects the smallest.

In the Hermetic tradition, the 4 ancient Elements (fire, air, water, earth) manifest in the body as a fiery head, an airy chest, a watery abdomen, and an earthy pair of legs (plus the rest of the body in principle).  Our body is a living “density float”, a term from chemistry that refers to the relative density of fluids such as water, mineral spirits, mercury, etc.  If all of these various fluids are placed in a clear glass container such as a drinking glass, the fluids would all occupy a different vertical level within the container—mercury on the bottom, water in the middle, mineral spirits on top.

Again, within the physical body the relative density of the Hermetic elements is displayed by their vertical position on the body.  To repeat, fire is located at the top (head), followed by air (chest), then water (abdomen) and earth (rump and legs) at the bottom.

But since the human body reflects the Divine, we must therefore be a reflection of God as It appears on Earth, mirroring the very pattern of God in the same way all things manifest on earth.  All things begin in the Nothingness called Akasha (or the ‘Ether’) and proceed down to fire, air, water and earth.  What appears on Earth has its origin in Divinity and is channeled thru us onto the projection screen before us called life.

Even the physical locations of the elements on the very planet itself reflect how it appears here in our body.  Starting at the highest point, there is a fiery sun in the sky (fire), followed by an atmosphere (air), an ocean (water), and solid ground (earth) at the very bottom.  This is merely one proof that what appears out there on Earth is a reflection of our own bodies.  On a deeper level this means that there really is no difference between the physical universe and our physical bodies.  The arbitrary dividing line (if one needs one) may be said to be our skin.  But our skin (just like our entire body) is made of the same basic elements as the universe, essentially proving that there is no essential difference between the physical universe and our body.  So again, the dividing line is subjective at best.  In fact the very notion of this purely illusionary dividing line finds it origin with the Ego and is certainly not to be accepted as true.
